Having A Wonderful Family Time

I was thinking to write the post from few months. Finally, wait is over. 😉

During October, I and my family decided to go to Mussoorie for the weekend which is at a distance of about 35 km from Dehradun. Mussoorie is over 2000 m above sea level with a total area of 65 sq. Km. The best time to visit this town is between April to June and then from September to November as the greenery here is in full bloom.

An exciting and beautiful long journey to make by road is from Delhi to Mussoorie. Escaping from the mad traffic and pollution of Delhi to the calm peaceful place that Mussoorie is, the trip is unforgettable and enlightening at the same time.

 

We booked a tempo traveler as we were 16 people. (@Saurabh, Vidhu, Kannu, Namit, Lokesh, Dolly, Shivam, Hema, Avneesh, Sonu, Gunjan, Atul, Bhawana, Abhishek, Amrita, of course ME and Kids Koko, Gappu, Golu, Riyansh).

We packed our luggage. We boarded traveler @ 12 AM, picked rest of the family members and set out on the journey. The whole journey is well planned by Saurabh. All members have their duties and responsibility. All members took seats and relaxed. Firstly all members got the welcome kit, it contain Sandwich, snicker, Appy or Fruity, Muffin. Kid’s kit also had kinder joy. 🙂

We stopped in between for a bit, had tea & some snacks, stretched our legs and then headed towards Mussoorie. We reached Mussoorie @10 AM and put up at a hotel. We had already got our reservations done in the Hotel Deep.

We booked it for two days for convenience. A nice view of the valley is visible from the hotel. Clean and good breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. It depends on you where you want to stay but the place does matter for the trip to be memorable. 🙂

I should give some words about the hotel as well.

While choosing the hotel, I had four things in mind; Cost, facility, location and good reviews. While the rates may vary over time, we get on quite reasonable for the season.

Cozy & clean room, water heater in bathroom, really warm soft blankets, ambiance perfectly suiting to the hills. Being at first floor, even if it wasn’t a family suite kind of with terrace but a sitting arrangement outside the room with kind of views, one won’t have any complaints either.

Then comes to hotel staff, we happened to meet only some of them; one at reception, one at Travel desk, two attendant & three or four in a kitchen. From taking our luggage to room to proving water, serving our orders etc., we had no complaints.

Overall, services been perfect & location of the hotel was at walking distance from Mall road. If I had to visit the place again, then I would gladly choose the same hotel again than any other place. 🙂

We decided to take some rest and had our lunch before going to visit Kempty fall.

Kempty waterfall – “The stunningly beautiful Kempty Falls is situated at a distance of 15 KM from Mussoorie town on the Hilly tracks of Uttarakhand. It has the distinction of being the biggest and prettiest waterfall located in a beautiful valley and is surrounded by high mountains.

The Kempty Falls is a good place for a picnic in the midst of the Greenery which covers the surroundings. This waterfall attracts many tourists. A nice place to unwind and at the same time bathe in the waterfall. There are some restaurants nearby too to satiate the taste buds while witnessing the natural beauty. The way to the waterfall is a treat in itself. The natural scenery will replenish your faith in life.

Kempty fall is far below from the road and to reach there are sloppy pathway as well as ropeway. We choose pathway. There are many eatery/gift shops along the pathway. After 5 minutes of descend walk, we reached Kempty fall. It was full of tourists. There were many shops near the falls selling swimming costumes, float and lockers on rent. The people were taking the bath and enjoying under the fall.

We all took the bath under the Kempty fall (water is too cold 😉 )  and enjoyed while during that period Sonu Bhaiya captured some snaps. After taking the bath, We changed our clothes. 🙂

We took some snacks we came back to the top of the waterfall and reached parking place. The driver was waiting for us. We all sat in the traveler and left for Mussoorie. In the short journey of 40 to 50 minutes, we reached our destination.

After reaching our hotel, we decided to roam around mall road for some shopping and eating.

The night was cold and fortunately, it was a clear sky with stars twinkling. We went to the terrace and looked down at the thousands of houses stretched out like a galaxy of stars. 🙂

I got up at dawn the next day and decided to take a walk while other members lay snuggled in their warm quilts and cozy beds.

After having had some breakfast in the hotel, we intended to go to Dhanaulti.

Dhanaulti: On Mussoorie-Tehri Road 25km away, it has deodar forests and mountainscapes. Next day, we proceeded to Dhanaulti, about 30 km away. The only thing you will enjoy this travel is greenery and beauty of hilly areas.

After morning views, it was the time to head towards Dhanaulti. Even though we knew that there would be no snow there, as of now, but it was better to check out the route once and there was no guarantee of snow in coming days either.

Dhanaulti has a Nature Eco park. It is pay and enjoys the park. Must do it, if you love nature…

We enjoyed a lot there and clicked so many pictures and enjoyed the beautiful view and how can I forget Kannu`s sliding fight … (can`t stop laughing) 😉 😀 😀

We had great fun there, enjoyed the adventure sports namely Sky Ride- Superman Zip Line, Sky Bridge.

Anyway, there wasn’t much to do at Dhanaulti in current conditions so we drove back.

The second destination chosen for the day was Mussoorie Lake, where we took Chhole kulcha as there is no other option and we were starving. So we had chhole kulcha while enjoying the view. 🙂

Mussoorie Lake:  A newly developed picnic spot situated on Mussoorie- Dehradun road and is about 6 km from Mussoorie. It is a delightful spot. Pedal boats are available. It commands an enchanting view of Doon Valley and nearby villages.

We did boating there. All the boats were pedal boat we hired four such pedal boat for 20 minutes. We enjoyed the boating in that mini lake and after that, we started to return as already one hour had passed.

We left the place at around 5:30 pm and reached back to Hotel and then rest of the day was spent walking at Mussoorie Mall Road. We took some snacks there and after spending some good time there, we start returning to our hotel through the same market again.

On reaching hotel room, we had some fun, shared horror stories… after that, we were very tired and soon we fell asleep.

We get up early in the morning and get ready for Rishikesh. We checked out at 07:30 AM and after reaching Ram Jhula, we went to Ghat of Ganga Ji. A lot of people were taking a bath on Ghats. We also took the bath in Holy Ganga Ji. Water was cold but not very deep so we enjoyed bathing. We were happy and enjoying in water that we were reluctant to come out.

After taking a bath, we went to the market area. There were many shops of Puja/Gift items, Religious books, and famous Chotiwalas restaurants. I was surprised to see 2-3 Chotiwalas restaurants there and each one claiming to be the original one. One person having the long choti was sitting on one chair at the high platform to attract customers outside of each restaurant.

We did lunch there. We return to parking. We took our seats and relaxed. We returned to Delhi. This finishes my family trip to Mussoorie and Rishikesh with lots and lots of good and beautiful memories.

Really our holiday trip to Mussoorie was unforgettable. The memory of my visit to Mussoorie is still fresh in my mind. 🙂

It is very tough for everyone to be involved in the true friendship however if one get it become very lucky in a big crowd. It is a divine and most precious gift of the life. Getting true friend is rare and counted as a big achievement of the life.

I am as lucky as I have a good friend from my college time. 🙂

I remember the curly hair that topped her smiling face 🙂 with the dark and beautiful eyes. She is very good-looking. She has a kind heart and is easy to get on with everybody.

  

Anjali and I are always together; no matter where we are! We go to places like the mall and movies, to the mountains and lakes! (In our college times) Together we go most everywhere! We sometime go shopping together and I help her pick out what and what not to buy! Together we are unstoppable! We also help each other with study, and family and friends problems. She helps me through my toughest times, and is there for my best times.

A few days ago we got Pose pictures together! 🙂

   

I remember our numerous college trips where we raised havoc everywhere we went, pulling the tails of all the walk-around characters. I remember our hostel room, with white walls.  I remember her rooms, where we talk, study, fight, sleep, play and eat. I remember our New Year`s Eve together, when we were in hostel. I remember every detail of my oldest friend and our friendship. (I know… you remember everything.) 🙂

She has been being my classmate since we were in our initial days of College. When I felt strange to new teacher, new school, new friend… ten years ago, she was the first one talking to me and dispersing the distance among members of new class. She always drives the atmosphere become joyful with her presence. Until now, we have known each other for ten years and have spent nearly all the time together since we are classmate (B.Sc. & M.Sc. & M.tech) and roommate (M.tech).

We go to college every morning on the street filled with gentle early sunshine. That brings me an agreeable feeling which I really love. We go to coaching together. Learning with her is also interesting! Whenever I need help, she teaches me in a special way that I cannot distract or fell sleepy. If having spare time, we usually tiding up our room or talking, laughing. Our special bond made us close friends.

                      

She is always there for me. She knows everything about me; even my secrets. (Shhhh…!) 😉

I can’t keep anything from her! She is the person who will help me when I am down, turn my frown upside-down, and make me feel better about myself.

We have so many inside jokes that nobody would understand unless they were there, or if they were just us! Not everyone gets our stupid jokes, and they might think that there immature and childish, but together we make them funny and get a good laugh out of it!  🙂

We have been friends for a very long time. The deeper our mutual understanding becomes the more we feel closely attached to each other.

   

Time has forced each of us to grow in entirely different directions, yet I continue to write this short documentary of our friendship. Our memories never fade. 🙂

I am very glad that I have her for my friend. I know that I can count on her for anything.

“My First Office Trip to Rishikesh: A Trip to Remember”

From the moment I back home, I was bursting with excitement to tell everyone about my first office trip in Rishikesh.

“Rishikesh is one of the most beautiful places. Rishikesh is an ideal quick weekend getaway from Delhi by road. The place leaves you completely rejuvenated, and helps you conquer your fears and fulfill all your adventure fantasies.”

I couldn’t wait to share hundreds of our amazing photos. To tell all the entertaining, humorous stories, and even that weird experience. I just really love the cool and fresh mountainous air and the very beautiful scenery of the mountains wherever you look at.

Of course, the jackpot is the unforgettable breathtaking view of mountains and Ganga River and Heavy rain.

So on my first trip to Rishikesh with DSIM (Office trip)……

As soon as the announcement of ‘Rishikesh Trip’ was made by the office management (Director Mr. Kunal Chaudhary, COO Apurva Panwar), the entire office staff erupted in joy. All sales, marketing teams in our company were set to leave for Rishikesh to relish few bites of adventure and thrill.

I remembered the excitement and the energy as I packed for the trip. I was even more excited about the trip because it`s my first office trip.

After finishing office on Sunday, we planned on leaving for Rishikesh. We started our official trip to Rishikesh on Sunday 6th July 2015 with return on Tuesday 8th July 2015.

There were 2 buses scheduled to leave office by 10:00 PM or 10:30 PM, but the time made us wait more. Finally the buses arrived and all the 20 members settled in the two buses.

We all boarded the bus from our office DSIM, Malviya Nagar around 11:30 PM, and the unending singing, dancing, drinking and teasing sessions started as soon as its wheels began to roll.

The journey to Rishikesh was amazing and full of fun. We all played cards, and shared jokes. On the way we stopped for titbits and to refresh ourselves. Due to long drive we all curled up on to each other and slept into a dreamless sleep.

We had entered Rishikesh and the Ganges running next to the winding road and cutting across the thick forests was a sight to behold. The green environment was truly breathtaking. It was like an eco-friendly village. Big lush trees surrounded small camps.

         

It started raining on the way and we got wet by the time we reached the “ROYAL RAINBOW RESORT”, we reached there just on time Monday morning 8:30 AM. The delightful sight combined with the chilly air of morning refreshed and pumped up everyone.

       

“ROYAL RAINBOW RESORT” is simply amazing, beautiful and it covered in hills. There are beautiful cottages on row with abundance greenery. The tents and cottages were very clean.The lush green mango gardens just outside the tent enhance its beauty. The river view from the rooms made a touchy feel.

    

Food was also of good quality and taste. There is lot of things to do like Volleyball, Cricket, Bonfire, and DJ Night. The Hyuel River is just a 3 mins walk from the camp. The staff members are so friendly and very hard working. I like the place very much.

        

I was tired from the journey and wanted to lie down on that cozy bed in my tent.  As we reached… there is heavy rain and firstly, I enjoyed rain with Kaajal and Sawan 😉

After settling down in the camp and after that we were gone for breakfast (Aaloo paratha, scrambled egg, Dahi, Bread, Butter, pickle, Tea). It was the perfect start of the day. 🙂

We were tired from the journey and after breakfast most of the employees were down with sleep even me too ;).  Some of the employees were playing and chatting and roaming and enjoying weather and nature. Even… I am roaming here and there… enjoying beauty of Rishikesh 🙂

     

We headed for a lunch (Mushroom Matar, Rajma, Jeera aaloo, Raita, Chapati, Rice, Salad, Papad, and Pickle) at 3PM. There was no greater feeling than sitting under a shed and munching on Indian cuisine, while we chatted and laughed crazily. 😀 😀

      

We spent most of the evening playing in the waters and lazing around within the camp premises. It was a great setting. The banks of the river, white stones, cool breeze and a breathtaking view is so amazing and mesmerizing. 🙂

     

Sitting there on a big stones near the river, it was a good feeling. All were enjoyed and do crazy things, laughed hard… and enjoyed beautiful clicks… which filled the atmosphere with fun, laughs and hoots. 🙂 😀

   

At 6:00 PM, We drank some tea to shoo tiredness away. The sun had gone to its abode and the cocktail & bonfire session at the camp were about to start.

The flames added some color to the dark and we all gathered around for a drinking session. A bonfire, rounds of laughter and drinking and singing and dancing, it was a night to remember forever.

As the booze started going down to stomachs, the people started introducing their different…No…No… hilarious versions. 🙂 😛

All was twisting their waist on songs. I was there, listening to everyone and laughing my lungs out. Some people had gone completely expressionless after boozing. 😉

The frolic extended till midnight; all booze had been gulped down and the party was over. It`s my first experience to see these kind of thing… 😉

       

After singing, boozing and sharing our experiences we had dinner (Butter Paneer, Daal Makhani, Jeera Rice, Chapati and Chicken Butter Masala, Sweet Dish (Sewai), Pickle, Salad) then we went off to bed.

It was 6:30 AM when I first opened my eyes in the morning. After roaming here and there for a while, I had my morning tea and breakfast (Poori, Sabji, Pickle, Scrambled egg, Tea).

The rain was started at 10 AM, and everyone enjoying rain and playing. We all were told to get ready by 1:00 PM as the bus will leave for Delhi at 1:30 PM.

    

We collected our bags at camps in Rishikesh and made our way back to Delhi for the next leg of our journey. On the way, we stopped for lunch and made it to Malviya Nagar, Delhi at 10:00 PM.

While I was packing my bag, a thought crossed my mind. From the holidays, we can learn how to appreciate the wonderful nature creates by God.

This is a blog I wrote for my beautiful and wonderful friend for her birthday. Basically a blog that just expresses the extent of appreciation and love I hold for her.

The first thing that came to my mind this morning was that today is your Birthday. I hope I’ve been the first one to wish you in my own special way because you’re special for me.

If I start from the beginning, I am sorry don’t remember the day I met you (oops!). As you know, I am shy at first … even I did not talk to you in first meeting when you joined lab.  You approach our friendship with a kindness and gentleness in your heart, and you love me genuinely. (Even, I made efforts too 😉 )

                     

After some time spent, we know each other well, we talk, we laugh, we cry, we work, we hangout, we eat, we shop and we stay together through the year. Working with you is great experience. Going with you on different food outlets is amazing… I know you don`t believe in trying new things…. But for me you try.  We make our own review for films we watched, for food we tried…. Some good …some bad…. But we enjoyed a lot together.

        

Everyone one knows us as “VINNI D POOH”. (Name given by Me). We celebrate Valentine`s day (V-Day) as “VINNI D POOH DAY”. 😉

In times where I’ve doubted myself, you’ve encouraged me. When I’ve believed in myself, you’ve celebrated me even more. Every day, you tell me I’m looking beautiful. You always sent me a sweet good morning text “Good morning Sweetheart” and some time goodnight 😉

I`ve liked you since the day we started talking. I like your laugh (especially “MERI BAATO PAR” 😉 ), smile, face, personality, humor (jo kbhi kbhi best hota hai 🙂 ), your dumbness 🙂 … in short (Everything) 😉

I like when you say “POONA”… When you say “CHUP KARO TUM”… When you say “NAA JANE KYA HI ANDAA”… When you say “AAYE NAHI DEKHE BADE”… When you laugh and say “POONA PJ THA”… When you say “AISA KUCH BHI NAHI HAI”… When we talk and you say “MEKO SAMJH NHI AAYA” … when you say “HAANJI”… when you say “LOVE YOU POONA”. 😉 🙂 ❤

I think friendship is about finding a piece of you that was missing and someone who is loyal and trustworthy to you. He is my missing part.

My best friend is everything a best friend should be. He is by no means perfect, he is like me, has made mistakes in the past. He isn’t afraid to admit when he’s done wrong and I think that’s admirable.

He is smart, affectionate, sarcastic, eloquent, ambitious, adorable, charismatic, talkative, upbeat, reliable, babyish (for me 😉 ), crazy, adventurous, funny (but with me super funny 😉 ) , passionate, fitness freak, witty, rapper, sometimes anxious.

He is Talented (when it comes to finding new solutions, fixing things, or coming up with novel ideas), His towering physique made him attractive, he is perfect combo of Tall, Dark and Handsome personality (perfect choice or dream man for so many girls 😉 ), sometimes mysterious and an Amazing, Wonderful friend …

These are pin points only a few of the things that makes him so amazing. In short… he is just like ME 😉 He is the first person I want to call when I hear either good news or bad news. He provides an immense amount of support and comfort in good times and in bad. He remembers that what I like and don’t like.

He is not afraid to tell me when I am wrong. He will accompany me on the most boring of errands and make them seem fun. We always have fun when we are spend time together. We had great memories.

He always listen to what I have to say before making any judgment about me… sometimes he can get mad at me for making wrong choices, but that is because he care for me and didn`t want me to get hurt.

He is someone with whom I feel comfortable and we believe each other blindly. We share our thoughts, ideas and personal feelings.

He is one with whom I feel safe and secure and do not need to think twice for any matter. We love each other unconditionally and understand each other need without judging on the matter. We always ready to support each other and provide good knowledge and advice. PRADYUMAN… you know what you`ve been there for me when I needed you to be, I’ve not known you forever but you`re my Best Friend. You know everything that goes through my head. We`ve discussed so many little things and laughed about random stuff. We spent hours on the phone talking about life and situation and sometimes nothing ;).

We laughed at jokes which no one gets. We listened each other’s problems and understand each other`s weird things and thoughts.

You know my good side, ugliest side, my secrets (my darkest secrets… shhhh 😉 ), my crush ;), my love , my feelings, my emotions, my thoughts, my reactions,  my friends, my family, and my small to smallest detail (in short… everything about me).

You are the one who call me beautiful, who criticize me. We do silly things, which only you and I know what they mean ;). We call each other with weird names ;), we are foodies, we love to try new things, we love adventure,

When thing gets tough we are there for each other. Even though we disagree sometimes, we never fight. When I’m sad you are always there to make sure I`m OKAY!

Thanks for being always there for me. I just want to say … I never want to lose you.

After reading, you will think he is my boyfriend or lover or something… but… “He is not my boyfriend…. But I love his hugs, his smile, his advice, his kindness, & the times we laugh together,& then I guess I’ve fallen in love with “OUR FRIENDSHIP” ❤
